She earned her master’s degree in nutrition from Georgia State University in 2011 and has worked at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta in various roles since 2014.
During her time in the inpatient setting at Scottish Rite, Lydia gained experience caring for children with a wide range of medical conditions and nutritional needs. She worked across several specialized units, including the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, Technology-Dependent Intensive Care Unit, GI unit, and inpatient Rehabilitation.
Lydia later joined the Multidisciplinary Feeding Program at the Marcus Autism Center, where she worked with children experiencing chronic feeding disorders. She has also been involved in research related to Autism Spectrum Disorder, food selectivity, and the nutrition-focused physical exam.
Lydia especially enjoys helping children and their parents feel more confident and comfortable around nutrition and mealtimes. Her areas of special interest include picky eating, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and poor growth.
Outside of work, Lydia enjoys spending time with her husband, two sons, daughter, and Goldendoodle, Earle. She loves cooking and trying new recipes with her children at home.
