Alexandra (Alex) is a bilingual Registered Dietitian, with over 10 years of experience in pediatric nutrition. She graduated from the Dietetic Nutrition program at Florida International University (FIU) and completed her one-year Dietetic Internship at New-York Presbyterian Hospital (NYP), including Cornell and Columbia Hospitals. Subsequently she completed a Pediatric Nutrition Fellowship program and worked as Clinical Dietitian at Morgan Stanley Children's hospital.
She then took a prestigious position at Nicklaus Children's Hospital Pediatric Intensive Care Unit in Miami Florida. During her years working in the hospital setting, she worked with various pediatric populations. She provided nutrition assessments and plans for children with multiple diseases including GI disorders and diseases such as Crohn's and Ulcerative Colitis, Celiac Disease, food allergies, feeding difficulties, failure to thrive, weight management and more.
Alex currently works as an outpatient pediatric dietitian and joined GI Care for Kids in 2024 to continue to help and provide nutrition plans for the pediatric population.
Outside of work, Alex enjoys cooking, the gym, traveling and spending time with her family including her 6-year-old boy and 2-year-old girl.
