Natalie is a Registered Dietitian who is board certified as a Specialist in Pediatric Nutrition. Natalie started her career at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite and joined GI Care For Kids and Atlanta Pediatric Nutrition shortly after. At Scottish Rite, she was involved in the care of a wide variety of pediatric patients including those on the Gastroenterology, AFLAC Cancer Center, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, and the Inpatient Rehabilitation Units.
Natalie grew up in Atlanta, Georgia and became interested in Nutrition after being diagnosed with Crohn’s disease in middle school. After trialing many medications, Natalie turned to diet to help manage her disease. She has successfully treated her Crohn’s disease through use of the Specific Carbohydrate Diet since high school. Natalie is a sought-after provider for patients with IBD. She has presented on "Successful Implementation of the Specific Carbohydrate Diet in Children" at the Specific Carbohydrate Diet Association's “SCD Rocks Conference.” Natalie was also a guest on "Nutrition Pearls: The Pediatric GI Nutrition Podcast" hosted by the Nutrition Council for Pediatric Nutrition Professionals, a division of the North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition, is a contributor to Nutrition4IBD.com and has been interviewed for an article entitled "Building Healthy Food Relationships" published in Simply Buckhead Magazine.
Natalie graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Nutrition Dietetics and went on to complete her pediatric-focused dietetic internship at The Ohio State University, including rotations at Nationwide Children's Hospital. She joined Atlanta Pediatric Nutrition and GI Care for Kids shortly after completing her internship. Natalie is one of only 30 dietitians in the state of Georgia board certified in Pediatric Nutrition and serves as a preceptor to dietetic interns throughout the country who are interested in the specialized field of pediatric nutrition. She enjoys helping families navigate a variety of nutrition and GI related diagnoses including inflammatory bowel disease, failure to thrive, feeding difficulties, food allergies and allergic disorders such as EoE and FPIES among other diagnoses.
Outside of work, Natalie enjoys cooking, yoga, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
