Lauren Holder, MS, RD, LD


Registered Dietitian

Lauren is a Registered Dietitian and native of Gwinnett County, Georgia.  She completed her Undergraduate Degree in Dietetics at the University of Georgia and went on to obtain her Master’s Degree in Nutrition at Samford University in Birmingham, Al. While at Samford, Lauren grew a passion to serve and provide children and their families with the knowledge, skills, and resources it takes to achieve better health and nutrition. After successful completion of her internship, she sought out additional specialized training in pediatric nutrition. She has earned the Strong4Life pediatric weight management certification and plans to sit for her board certification in pediatric nutrition in the near future.

Lauren started her career at Atlanta Pediatric Nutrition and GI Care for Kids. Soon after, she was offered a position at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.  Lauren currently works at the Scottish Rite and Hughes Spalding campuses in a variety of settings including the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, AFLAC Cancer Center, Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit, Cerebral Palsy clinic, Sickle-cell clinic, and Neonatal follow-up clinic. She also provides outpatient pediatric nutrition counseling in various general pediatric offices in the Gwinnett area. Lauren loves being able to help parents navigate their child’s medical conditions through nutrition and has an increased interest in failure to thrive, weight management, food allergies, and feeding difficulties.  

Outside of work, Lauren enjoys cooking, playing tennis, the outdoors and spending time with her husband and family.
