Luisa is a Registered Dietitian originally from Colombia, South America. She completed her undergraduate degree at Spring Hill College and then went on to obtain her Master's Degree in Nutrition from Georgia State University. She began her career at Emory Hospital and GI Care for Kids in 2016. In 2017, she started working at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta where she has provided coverage for a wide variety of patients.
Luisa is fluent in Spanish and is passionate about working with the Hispanic population. She has also developed an interest in helping children with failure to thrive, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease and weight management.
Luisa also runs a successful lifestyle blog, Peaches to Pearls, where she merges her love of fashion with food. She has provided recipe development for large brands such as Chick-Fil-A, Whole Foods, FAGE yogurt and Starbucks through her blog. She utilizes her social media outlets to teach others about nutrition and how eating healthy does not need to be complicated or expensive.
Outside of work, Luisa enjoys spending time with her family (husband, son, two yorkies and pet chickens), cooking, shopping and traveling.
